For those of you not familiar with the Coke Zero 400, it is a 160 lap, 400 mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that is held on the first Saturday night of July every year at Daytona International Speedway. Lucky for us this year the first Saturday happens to fall on Independence Day! Until 2008, the now Coke Zero 400 was known as the Pepsi 400. Regardless of the name, the excitement is the same.
For years, the race was held early in the morning to avoid the hot and muggy Florida afternoons - not to mention the infamous afternoon storms.
